We Need You to Help Restore Democracy in Burma

Right now, U.S. support for the people of Myanmar hangs in the balance.

In its early months, the Trump Administration slashed over 30 years of bipartisan U.S. support for democracy and human rights in Myanmar. Even in the wake of a devastating earthquake, the U.S. failed to send an emergency rescue team. And now, U.S. policy toward Burma is once again “under review.”

We’re not waiting to see what happens — we’re taking action.

As soon as we learned of aid cuts, we mobilized civil society groups and Burmese communities across the U.S. Together, we’ve pushed back hard, working with allies in both parties in Congress to demand that the Administration stand by America’s long-standing commitment to democracy in Burma.

But we can’t do it without you.

Will you make a generous gift today to support our mid-year campaign for Myanmar?

The stakes could not be higher. Since the 2021 coup, Burma’s pro-democracy movement has made historic gains — now controlling over half the country’s territory. The military junta is weakening. Troops are surrendering. This is a tipping point — and with your help, we can help push Burma toward a democratic future.

Your donation fuels:

  • Advocacy that gets results. Thanks to your efforts, we helped pass the BURMA Act, launched the Congressional Burma Caucus, and are driving the reintroduction of the BRAVE Burma Act.
  • Accountability for the junta. You helped pressure the U.S. government to recognize the Rohingya genocide and impose targeted sanctions, including cutting off jet fuel for military airstrikes.
  • Citizen-powered sanctions. You pushed major corporations — including Chevron, TotalEnergies, Kirin, and Harry Winston — to end business ties with the Myanmar military.

We are 100% people-powered. Every campaign, every policy win, every act of solidarity is fueled by donations from supporters like you.

Make your mid-year gift today — one-time or monthly — and help us keep up the pressure to cut off the junta’s cash, weapons, and fuel while supporting the brave Burmese people risking everything for democracy.

Together, we are a global movement of over 600,000 strong — more than half of whom live inside Myanmar. With your continued support, we can help secure a future where Burma is free, democratic, and inclusive of all its people.
